The Jennifer Leigh Wells Moonlight Walk/Run for Meningitis Research

Saturday evening, Cindy Payne and her four sisters hosted the fourth running of The Jennifer Wells Moonlight Two Miler around the track at Monticello High. Close to 200 folks weathered a rainy evening to participate in the walk/run for Meningitis research. Dave Meyers successfully defended his title with a 10:32 clocking and Leah Conner was the first woman to complete the eight laps as she stopped the clock at 13:33. Other races of note were turned in by folks like Suzanna Turyani, Dan Moriarity, Justin Pincham and Karen Durland-Jones. Payne annually organizes this family benefit race in memory of her daughter Jennifer.
